KISSIMMEE, Fla. (June 7,2017) – PM Wells Charter Academy has hired Alan Ramos as its new principal to lead the school in the 2017-2018 school year. Ramos most recently served as principal at Discovery Intermediate School during which time he was awarded Principal of
the Year by the School District of Osceola County in 2015-2016. He
was one of only 50 school principals in the country selected to participate in the Discovery Education Network Summer Institute (DENSI) Principal Summit in 2015. He also worked as an educational policy consultant with the Florida Department of Education and was the Teaching American History Grant Coordinator for the School
Board of Broward County. Throughout his career, he has held several leadership positions as well as serving as a classroom teacher.
Ramos earned his associates degree in music education from Miami-Dade College, in Miami, FL and his Bachelor of Science in social studies education from Florida International University where he also served as adjunct professor. He earned his Master of Science degree in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL and his Graduate Certificate in public administration from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL.
