Renaissance Charter School at Wellington

WELLINGTON, Fla (Nov. 24, 2014) – With a mission to “Remember, Honor, Teach,” Wreaths Across America coordinates wreath laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery and veterans’ cemeteries in all 50 states and beyond. Students at Renaissance Charter School at Wellington have participated in various fundraising activities to raise $4,050 to donate to this charity. Members of the student government will present a check to Patriot Guard Riders on Dec. 3 at 9 a.m. at the school. This check will purchase wreaths for the South Florida National Cemetery, a veteran’s cemetery in Lake Worth. Last year, they were 500 wreaths short, which should be made up with this year’s donation from the school. Student government representatives will also participate in the actual wreath laying ceremony on a date to be determined in December.
