French Television Crew to film event for inclusion in documentary

HOMESTEAD, Fla. (October 17, 2011)  –  Keys Gate Charter High School’s grand opening of its new permanent facility will have international appeal as journalist Jerome Levy will bring a film crew from France to film the grand opening as part of a documentary that will be aired on The Capital television program in November. The Capital is very popular with more than five million viewers. The documentary will feature Charter Schools USA and Keys Gate Charter K-12 system as an example of a successful charter school program in the United States. Education is also a very important subject in France and there are currently no charter schools there.

MEDIA OPPORTUNITIES: The grand opening culminates several years of combined effort to open the high school. Several elected officials as well as parents and community members are expected to attend. Reporters will have access to students, teachers, David McKnight, principal, Jonathan Hage, president of Charter Schools USA, and Jerome Levy, French journalist.  All media must have proper I.D. in order to enter the school.
