WHAT: Hillsborough County’s Great American Teach In

Each year prominent community members and celebrities are invited to participate in the Great American Teach In. This year, tentative participants include representatives from Tampa Bay Lightning and Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Cheerleaders, USF football players, police, firefighters, Tampa Bay Performing Arts, T-Mobile and a phosphate company. Individuals from the insurance industry, a photographer pharmacist, CAT scan operator and an archeologist are also scheduled to attend.

Media opportunities will be available throughout the day.

WHY: The annual Great American Teach In provides community members an inside look at teaching by allowing them to guest teach. Students benefit from the program by being exposed to a wide variety of career options. Excellent visual opportunities will present themselves throughout the day. Staff will assist with assuring photo releases are in place for all students.
